As I sat to write, I realized how long it has been since my last post! And then I realized, somehow I posted 2 on the same day?! Clearly, the holiday brain fog had already affected me early in the month!!
I’ve spent the better part of 2013 really honing in on exactly what I love to photograph and how I like to do it. It’s taken a lot of intentional self-critique to refine my artistic style and to be comfortable with who I am as a photographer and what I want my business to be. Not to say that I have arrived, because I never feel that way, but I do believe that I am traveling the path that is mine and mine alone. It’s a business centered around serving my clients, the ones who are drawn to my work and to the experience I offer.
I’ve been working on something for the past couple of months, slowly but deliberately moving through it. I haven’t told too many people about it because I wanted to really have a firm grasp on the direction I was moving without getting too much feedback that might alter my vision. But I’m ready now….
Southern Girl Photography is about to unveil a whole new look, including a new logo… website… a new brand. What once started out as a lifestyle portrait business has evolved into a contemporary, women’s glamour portrait studio. It’s personal. It’s timeless. It’s feminine. It’s an experience. It’s for every woman, every age. It’s for the Mamas who need a day to be pampered and for the young woman who has secretly dreamt of being a cover girl. It’s for you.
So, expect to see a whole new look on my website and my social media networks with some fresh content. While these changes are being made, you will likely find my website down for maintenance. Please be patient while I spend the next week getting everything just so. The unveiling will be December 31, 2013. And until then, here is a sneak peek of the branding board I used to lay out my vision.
