A Day in the Life Of…

We’re known to take a short drive to a town I’ve not been to, and it turns into a day trip of spontaneous and unexpected findings. Columbia, TN was no different and provided the perfect opportunity for this assignment:

‘A Day in the Life Of….’ – Be Creative. You can choose to interpret this theme in any way that you wish including by: taking your camera with you all day and documenting your day; recording the day (or part of it) of someone else; recording the day of something else (pet, building, city, street etc)

Peering through someone's magnolia trees to get a glimpse of an incredible residence. Murfreesboro, TN

Spring Hill, TN must not have felt the sting of the down turned economy. It seems their pet cemetery is thriving with headstones bigger than I've seen for people.

After traversing through bushes and up a gravel hill, we finally reached the train we saw sitting up on the tracks in Columbia.

If only we had looked to our right we would have seen the easy path to the train. 🙂

Sadly, the beautiful turn of the century train depot has been defaced and abandoned.

After having a wonderful Sunday brunch at Christy's, we took a walk at a newly constructed park and came across a family taking portraits for the holiday card.

As we finally make the decision to head home, we see innumerable wild turkeys crossing the road... presumably 'to get to the other side?'

... and let me introduce to the world, the newest member of our family, Mimi Cooper.

  2. So many great pictures! The first with great composition, the third with the red house that attracts the eye immediately and the 7:th one with all the life and inspiration in it!

Thanks! I felt a little bit gratified on this outing with my camera… more usable pictures than I usually get. I’m glad you enjoyed them. 🙂

Thank you! The sepia congers up ideas of cooler weather and a sense of timelessness. I love it. 🙂
